The Delta Upsilon - Cal Poly Chapter House, completed in January 2016

At Cal Poly, 15 founding members started as Alpha Upsilon Fraternity in 1955. Formed under the principles of Delta Upsilon with no affiliation to the international group, these men have created a fraternity with an incredibly strong Alumni Association and a reputation for the highest of moral character. In 1970, the Cal Poly Chapter became officially affiliated with Delta Upsilon. Joining Delta Upsilon makes you a part of a brotherhood unlike any other.

Delta Upsilon at Cal Poly has undergone a rapid and successful change over the last 12 months. Currently, we have about 40 active brothers eager and excited to meet new prospective members.

Our main house, located at 720 E Foothill Blvd, was completed early this January. The house, which was funded entirely by DU Cal Poly alumni, is arguably the best living accommodation for any student attending Cal Poly. The house features an industrial grade kitchen, a parking garage, a chapter room, a living room, an outdoor atrium on the second floor, a study room, and much more.

The house is unbelievable, but it isn’t what makes our brotherhood strong. Delta Upsilon is the oldest fraternity on campus, and we are celebrating our 60th anniversary this year. Over the past 60 years, the fraternity has developed some of the best traditions Greek life has to offer, along with one of the strongest alumni networks in the country. The future is bright, and anyone who joins DU has the opportunity to leave a legacy that lasts a lifetime.
